Smoothwall was established as a company in 2001 but our roots go further back into open source community and the Smoothwall Express and DansGuardian projects that are still running today.

We were the first security vendor to develop context-sensitive Real-Time content analysis. This highly granular categorization was combined with controls that recognize users, location and time of day. Our award winning technology enables millions of users worldwide to access legitimate online resources but  protects them from undesirable content.

Our web filtering capability is combined with our next generation firewall and from globally recognized technology partners real-time anti-malware and spam protection. The Secure Web Gateway and Unified Threat Management products enable organizations of all sizes to have enterprise class protection.
